AUSTIN, Texas Frederik Jahr of the Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team became the school's first-ever College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Division II selection, it was announced Thursday. Jahr took home Second Team honors after graduating from CSUSM with 4.0 GPA and a Business Management degree. The senior from Snaroeya, Norway was named All-District 8 on May 26, and was immediately entered into the running for All-America . He was presented with the Academic Achievement Award at the CSUSM Athletics ESPYs awards banquet in April after being honored as a Mangrum Academic Award winner (4.0 GPA) multiple times throughout his collegiate career. Jahr became the first CSUSM track & field student-athlete to earn All-CCAA honors when his leap of 2.01m in the high jump led him to a runner-up finish at the CCAA Track and Field Championships on May 7. In all, Jahr won the high jump in five different meets in his three seasons. He was named as the May CSUSM Male Student-Athlete of the Month and was also honored as a Star of the Month by the San Diego Hall of Champions.
