SHAWNEE – Three St. Gregory's cross country athletes earned league honors with solid performances Saturday at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship meet. The event was hosted at Shawnee's Gordon Cooper Technology Center.

WINFIELD, Kan. – St. Gregory's senior Robert Torres posted a top 10 finish Saturday at the NAIA Mid-States Classic. The event was hosted on the grounds of Winfield Veterans Home.

SHAWNEE – Sabrina DeSantiago and Christian Arbuthnot led their respective teams Saturday at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational. The meet was hosted at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Alexis Gee and Robert Torres paced their respective teams Saturday at the highly competitive Chile Pepper Festival. More than 500 runners competed in the event, which was hosted by the University of Arkansas.

OKLAHOMA CITY – St. Gregory's men's cross country runner Christian Arbuthnot has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Runner of the Week, the league office announced Monday. It's the first such honor for the program.

JOPLIN, Mo. – St. Gregory's cross country teams posted a pair of top 12 finishes Saturday at the MSSU Southern Stampede. Billed as one of the nation's largest meets, the event hosted approximately 2,500 high school and collegiate runners.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – St. Gregory's cross country teams got their seasons off to solid starts Friday night at the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic. The unique event, which began at 9 p.m., was hosted under the lights of the Fun Valley Sports Complex.

St. Gregory's cross country teams kick off their 2016 seasons Friday with heightened goals. Both squads feature an experienced core group to go along with some young talent, and each expect to make some noise in the conference and nationally.

St. Gregory's men's cross country/track and field coach Cody Ingold recently announced his 2016-17 signing class. Ingold is set to add nine athletes between the two sports.
