SAN MARCOS, Calif. Frederik Jahr of the Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team became the school's first-ever College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 8 selection as a candidacy member of NCAA Division II, it was announced Thursday. It is the second career CoSIDA Academic All-District award for Jahr, who graduated last week with a degree in Business Management from CSUSM. He earned All-District 4 honors last year while CSUSM was a member of the NAIA. The high jumper from Snaroeya, Norway finished his three years at CSUSM with a sterling 4.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and put together another standout season for the Cougars in 2016.
