[Men's Track & Field] Corcoran Takes Seventh in 3000 Meter Run; Becomes Program's First ...

Geneva, Ohio - Becoming the first All-American in the history of the Saint Xavier University men's track & field program in the process, senior Brian Corcoran (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) finished seventh place overall with a stellar time of 8:37.37 in Saturday's finals of the 3000 meter run at the 2015 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.  The top eight finishers from the 12 runners who qualified for the finals earned NAIA All-American status.  Corcoran qualified for the finals after turning in a school record time of 8:36.04 in Friday's preliminary heats, the third best time in the field of 19 runners who qualified in the event for the national meet.
