St. Louis, Mo. – A school record and NAIA provisional qualifying time of 14:51.75 in the 5,000 meter run for senior Brian Corcoran (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) was one of the big highlights of the weekend for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team as the squad opened the outdoor portion of its schedule at the Washington University Invitational in St. Louis, Mo.  This was the first time in Corcoran's standout collegiate career that he has qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.  In addition, several other SXU runners achieved personal-best times as the team used the meet as a way to get its distance runners tuned up for the new season.
