Comments

LOS ANGELES The Cal State San Marcos men's and women's track and field teams continued to make a solid impression on the second day of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships at Jesse Owens Stadium on the campus of Cal State L.A. on Friday. The Cougars competed in 16 events and won prelim races in four different events. Cristen Lane ran a personal-best 2:14.05 in the 800m to win heat two by nearly half a second. Moments earlier, Charlotte Kuzminksy posted a time of 2:14.11 in the first heat, the best in her race. Lane and Kuzminksy went on to finish with the second and third best times in the event, respectively. Lane, Kuzminsky, Elizabeth Buckle and Lauren Wyckoff ended the day by winning the second heat of the 4x400m relay in a time of 3:54.67, a season-best. It was the second-fastest time of the day. Kyle Johnson won heat two of the 100-meter hurdles in 14.86, which tied for the fastest time in either heat. Bryce Johnson set a personal-best with a time of 15.63. Raelyn Werley registered the fifth-fastest time in the 10000m final with a time of 36:31.81. Enrique Ramirez ran a season-best 3:52.89 in the men's 10000m.
