Busy Weekend For Baker Track & Field

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Baker University indoor track & field team had a busy weekend, as members of the teams competed in the Dutch Athletics Classic in Pella, Iowa and the Pittsburg State Invitational in Pittsburg, Kansas.

In Pella, Tyson Robke won the heptathlon with a personal best, 4,584 points over eight other competitors. With that effort he now ranks No. 8 in the nation.

Kendal Holloman jumped 3.48m in the pole vault, taking first place and automatically qualified for the NAIA national meet.

Kiana Turner was 2nd in the 60m dash, Alex Garbarino Herman was 2nd in the 60m hurdles and Asher Hannon took home 4th in the 60m and 8th in the 200m dashes.

The men’s distance squad placed four in the top eight of the 3000m run and Andrew Dare led the squad with a 2nd place finish.

At the Pitts State meet,. Cory Peoples had a personal best performance in the men’s 35lb weight throw with a mark of 15.29m.
