Lisle, Ill. – A pair of school records for freshman Anthony Kowalcyzk (Chicago, Ill./Steinmetz) and new Saint Xavier University marks for senior Brian Corcoran (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) and junior Janis Pastars (Ogre, Latvia/Cameron University) made for a great day for the SXU men's track & field team at the Benedictine University (Ill.) Eagle Invite at Benedictine Track Saturday in Lisle, Ill.  Kowalcyzk threw a program record distance of 33.38 meters in the men's hammer throw and a record 38.25 meters in the men's discus.  Corcoran broke his own school record in the 1,500 meter run finishing second overall in the field with a time of 3:56.95.  Pastars set a new school record in the steeplechase running the event for the first time in his career and turning in an impressive time of 9:46.62.
