CHICAGO – Saint Xavier University men's cross country team members junior Abel Hernandez (Alsip, Ill./Shepard) and sophomore Ivan Diaz (Chicago, Ill./Solorio Academy) were both recently recognized by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) when the league released its postseason awards.  Hernandez was one of 15 runners in the conference to earn All-CCAC recognition, while Diaz represented SXU on the 2016 CCAC Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team.  Hernandez took sixth place overall at the 2016 CCAC Men's Cross Country Championships on November 5 to secure his all-conference honor.  To qualify for the CCAC All-Academic Team, an individual must have completed 30 semester hours at the nominating institution and hold at least a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average.
