CHICAGO – Registering a top 25 performance at a prestigious meet over the weekend, Saint Xavier University junior Abel Hernandez (Alsip, Ill./Shepard) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week when it was announced Wednesday morning by the league office.  Hernandez placed 24th out of 204 runners at the competitive University of Notre Dame (Ind.) National Catholic Championships last Friday.  He finished the five-mile course in a time of 26:47 to lead his team to a 19th-place finish out of 28 teams.
