Gulf Shores, Ala. – Representing the Saint Xavier University women's track & field program, junior Nicole Watkins (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett) and sophomore Ellie Willging (Freeport, Ill./UIC/Freeport) both ran well as individual qualifiers at the 2016 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships held Thursday through Saturday at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Ala.  Watkins ran in two events, the 800 meter run and the 1500 meter run.  She took 15th nationally in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:17.50, while finishing 22nd overall in the 1500 meter run at 4:43.27.  Willging claimed 11th place nationally in the 5000 meter run (5K) with a time of 18:51.84.
