Joliet, Ill. – Junior Rexford Wiafe (Chicago, Ill./Calumet College of St. Joseph/Bloom) set a new meet record time of 1:55.51 to win the 800 meter run and represent the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team well at the 2015 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend at Joliet Memorial Stadium in Joliet, Ill.  As a squad, SXU took sixth place overall in the nine-team conference event with 41.5 points.  The Cougars also got school record-breaking outdoor performances from freshman Ian Hollendonner (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.42 seconds, the 4x100 meter relay team with a time of 42.69 seconds and freshman Anthony Kowalczyk (Chicago, Ill./Steinmetz) in the discus throw with a distance of 38.90 meters.
