The Viking women won three events, hit three national qualifying marks, set two meet records and a school record en route to a runner-up finish at the MCC Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend in Sterling, Illinois. Teammate Jena Krebs (Washington, Iowa) won the weight throw with a new meet record distance of 17.80m. The senior's throw also met the NAIA 'A' national qualifying standard. She also placed third in the shot put with a mark of 12.45m. The team of sophomore Hannah Sobaski (Fairfield, Iowa), freshman Jamie Barry (Maynard, Iowa), sophomore Kimberly Teno (Albia, Iowa), and sophomore Natalie Potts (Altoona, Iowa) took the title in the distance medley relay in time of 13:28.61. Other highlights included a runner-up finish in the 600m by freshman Kennedy King (Davenport, Iowa) and third place finishes in four events – the 4x400m relay (Ronnoja Ayers, Katie Roberts, Barry, Alyssa Cunningham) (4:15.90), the 4x800m relay (Potts, Sobaski, Bakita Kak, Teno) (10:41.63), and junior Amber Jones (Lee's Summit, Mo.) in the shot put (15.57m).
