[Men's Indoor Track & Field] Men's Track & Field run well at IWU Midwest Indoor

MARION, IN- The Spring Arbor University Men's Track and Field team traveled to Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday, February 8 to compete in the Midwest Indoor Classic.

According to Head Coach Dante Ottolini, Freshman Mitch Hession highlighted the meet for the cougars with an excellent effort in his first hurdle race of the season. Hession finished with a time of 8.72 the 60m hurdles, which moved him up to second on Spring Arbor's All-Time record list.

Senior Chris Conrad also ran well, finishing first in the 600m with a time of 1:23. His time moved him up to fifth place on the All-Time record list.

Ottolini was also excited about Sophomore Simon Reidsma's 3000m race. Reidsma finished with a time of 8:52 which positioned him third overall in the race. Reidsma's times also placed him sixth on the Spring Arbor record list.

Senior Dewayne Gray and Sophomore Uriah Rogers also had notable performances in their 60m dash. Gray finished third overall with a time of 7.02.  Rogers finished in tenth place with a time of 7.17, moving him up to third on the record list.

Ottolini was pleased with his team's performance stating "a lot of guys ran well today, a lot of guys PR'd.

The Cougar's will race next at Grand Valley State University on Friday, February 14, and on the 15th at Calvin college to complete a two meet weekend.
