Comments

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) women's cross country team had one of its best finishes in a big invitational as they placed 32nd out of 47 teams at the University of Louisville Cross country classic held at Tom Sawyer State park in Louisville Kentucky.

The Blue Devils ran in the Silver division race which was one of three women's races held on the day.  The race consisted mostly of smaller NAIA/NCAA/NJCAA schools from all over the Midwest.  LTU was led once again by Marissa Bradley (FR/Haslett, Mich.) who placed 50th out of 365 runners with a time of 19:59 which for the third consecutive meet breaks her own school record.  She was followed by Monica Ellicott (FR/Caro, Mich.) 96th place with a time of 20:30. Kelly Copeland (SR/Milan, MI) followed with a time of 22:33 (259th), Claudia Krygier raced in 22:43 (270th), Leah Klynstra (FR/Zeeland, Mich.) in 22:51 (283rd), and Beth Steenwyk (SR/Hudsonville, MI) in 22:57 (289th).
