WICHITA, Kan. - Friends University hosted the 2016 KCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Biff Green Track last Thursday and Friday The Falcons completed the perfect year as both the men and women took home the Outdoor Conference Championships to match their titles from the indoor season. The women's team dominated the field winning the team title race by 198 points. The Falcons scored a KCAC meet record (297 points), beating out Southwestern who was second as a team with 99 points. The men's team had a much closer battle as they edged out McPherson by 15 points (179-164). The women have now won six of the last seven Outdoor Conference Titles, while the men have won four of the last five. Head Coaches Cole Davis and Damian Smithhisler were named the Women's and Men's Coaches of the year, respectively, and Kaitlyn Keck (SR/Haysville, Kan.) was named the Women's Athlete of the meet after scoring a career high total of 41.5 points during the two day competition.
