[Women's Outdoor Track & Field] Godar set to compete at second national meet this year

Comments

Tayler Godar had one specific goal for herself this season. The sophomore standout in track and field wanted to be the first Tiger to qualify for the NAIA National Track & Field meet since Britney Chesser and Luke Garnett did so in 2010.

Not all that shocking for the Georgetown College harrier, but she did so with a twist of surprise. The Cincinnati, Ohio native ran a 2:15.27 at the Toledo Invitational – a new school record and qualifying time in the 800-meter run – a race she did not even run or train for most of the season.

The meet begins May 22 in Gulf Shores, Ala. The trails are 2 pm Friday and the finals set for 4:50 pm Saturday.
