Marion, Ind. – An impressive showing by junior Janis Pastars (Ogre, Latvia/Cameron) and senior Brian Corcoran (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) in the 3000 meter run highlighted the day for the Saint Xavier University men's track and field team Saturday at the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational held at the IWU Indoor Complex in Marion, Ind.  Pastars pulled away from the field to win the event in a stellar time of 8:54.31, while Corcoran took second place in 8:56.11, a full 11 seconds ahead of the next finisher.  The 200 meter relay team of freshman Kyonn Keith (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington), seniors John Stancato (Manhattan, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) and Tyler Hoeg (Channahon, Ill./Concordia (Minn.)/Minooka) and junior Ben Tracy (Colfax, Ill./Ridgeview) set a new school record and won the event in a time of 1:33.70.
